What Are the Uses of the General Gantry Crane

1、General gantry crane

This type of gantry crane is mostly used in box type and truss type structure.Can carry all kinds of articles and bulk materials,the lifting weight is below 100 tons and the span is 4 to 39 meters.General gantry cranes with grabs have a higher working level.Common gantry cranes mainly refer to hooks, grabs, electromagnetic, hoist gantry cranes,also included semi-portal cranes.

2、For container terminals

The trailer transports the container that is unloaded from the ship to the yard or behind the container，stacked by container gantry cranes or transported directly by truck,it can speed up the turnover of container bridge or other crane.Can stack 3 ~ 4 floors, 6 rows's container yard,generally used tire type, also used rail type.Compared with container straddle cranes, container gantry cranes have larger spans and heights on both sides of the gantry,in order to meet the transportation needs of the port terminal,this type of crane has a higher working level.Lifting speed is 8~10 m/min,the span is determined by the number of rows of containers that need to be crossed,the maximum size of a container is about 60 meters, corresponding to 20 feet, 30 feet and 40 feet long. The lifting weight of the container is about 20 tons, 25 tons and 30 tons respectively.

3、Shipbuilding gantry crane

It is used to assemble the hull on the ship platform, there are always two lifting trolleys:One has two main hooks running on the rails on the upper flange of the bridge;The other has a main hook and a secondary hook that runs on the rails of the lower flange of the bridge,for turning over and lifting large hull sections.The lifting weight is usually 100 ~ 1500 tons;Span up to 185 meters;The lifting speed is 2 ~ 15m/min,There is also a fretting speed of 0.1 to 0.5 m/min.

4、Hydroelectric power station gantry crane

It is mainly used for lifting and closing the gate，installation work can also be performed.The lifting capacity is 80-500 tons,the span is small, is usually 8 ~ 16 meters,the lifting speed is low, is usually 1 to 5 m / min,although this kind of crane is not often hoisted, but once the work is very heavy, so we should properly raise the work level
